Review: **** This could be the best comedy of 2005 with Steve Carell getting laughs all the way through.
Catherine Keener also shines, but the best scene is the pickup scene and drive home by the ditsy drunk blonde.

Review: *** So how sick is Tim Burton? Extremely. Is this a kid's flick? Most certainly not.
So who will enjoy it? Only sickos of course! More dead people, but this time done with even better animation than
The Nightmare Before Christmas. If you can get past the gruesome theme, it's technically masterful.

Review: **** Mickey Rourke is the real the star of this show. Great as always, he's closely followed by
outstanding performances from Lucy Liu, Dabney Coleman, Christopher Walken and Jacqueline Bisset.
Continuous flashbacks, swirling camera angles and stylized colors do nothing to distract from this thrill ride.
Kiera Knightley brings life to this tough girl role along with tattoos and a curious british accent, but no matter.
Shot mostly in Las Vegas it's loosely based on actual events that again proves that truth is stranger than fiction.
The real Domino Harvey worked with the cast during shooting to lend authenticity but died of a painkiller
overdose just a week before release. Don't miss this one, and be sure to bring the dramamine.

Review: **** Kurt and Kris are great as always, but Dakota Fanning's performance is amazing in this moving drama that will appeal to all ages.

Synopsis: Drew Baylor returns to his small Kentucky hometown to bury his father after he is fired for a

On his flight home, he meets flight attendant Claire Colburn, and their ensuing romance helps guide him through
his rough transition with a fresh perspective.
Review: ** Nothing but a chick flick guys and not a good one at that. How unlikely is it for a company to
invest a billion bucks on the new design for a sneaker anyway, and if you can buy that,
how can you possibly care about Bloom's whimpy character that contemplates suicide
after getting fired from the cushy job? Get another job man! Even girls will find Kirsten Dunst's
character too cutesie. Only Susan Sarandon is provided with interesting material but even she can't overcome the
thin characterizations and flimsy plot of this film that tries to be deep, but doesn't make it.

The two fall asleep, and Kyle wakes up three hours later with her daughter nowhere to be found. The flight crew and
fellow passengers have no recollection of the girl as her mother desperately searches the plane for her. Kyle must
come to terms with the possibility she may be losing her mind.
Review: **** You don't need to be a Jodie Foster fan to enjoy this suspenseful thriller.
Good performances overshadow a convoluted plot. Flight attendants have boycotted the film as they
are not portrayed in a flattering fashion, and mothers may find the premise of a missing daughter too unsettling to bear.
The atmosphere becomes intense when it becomes apparent that Jodie Foster's character has become delusional after the
death of her husband. Finally a film with a strong female lead portrayed masterfully by Foster.

Review: **** Bill Paxton has finally found his niche as a director expertly displayed by this masterpiece of cinematic
art. You needn't play the game to appreciate the underdog drama portrayed in this true story which should appeal to all ages and sexes.

Review: **** This hard driving thriller has an oustanding cast, great acting, continual suspense, non-stop gory action,
full frontal nudity and explicit sex scenes. Viggo Mortensen is believable as the reformed man of violence who has left his violent
past behind. Maria Bello is again as intense and exotic as her performance in The Cooler. Ed Harris portrays evil incarnate
surpassed only by the villianious performance of William Hurt's mob boss character. Not a first date flick, it's much more than
just typical slasher fare. Women will undoubtably find Mortensen as appealing as Bello fans will find her sexuality exceptionally
smoldering.

Synopsis: Two sisters who share nothing but the same shoe size have a falling out due to their conflicting personalities.
When one of the sisters discovers a long-lost grandmother living in Miami, she explores painful issues from her family's
past and eventually uses what she's learned to try and make amends with her estranged sibling.
Review: ***** Cameron Diaz has graduated to serious drama and Toni Collette has again outdone herself
intentionally gaining 30 pounds for this role. The director wanted 50 pounds, but that is where she drew the line.
Even better than in Terms of Endearment Shirley MacLaine has given her best performance ever. This is not a tragedy,
but a light-hearted romp through the lives of an emotionally charged family with fully developed characters.
The supporting cast was also excellent. Much more than just a chic-flic, this is a film that will be enjoyed for
years by all ages and sexes. Hey guys, this is the ultimate date movie.

Review: *** It may be heaven for young teens, but for the rest of us it's definately nothing but a chic flick.
Has anyone else seen just a little too much of Reese Witherspoon in legally blonde type roles and
the likeable Mark Ruffalo in just about every other type of romantic leading man stuff lately? How many times can the
"I can see you but no one else can" plot be rehashed? It doesn't compare to "Ghost", but at least it has a lighter mood.
Yet, it's tolerable enough for a movie out - as long as your date is close to the legal age.

the top of the sports betting world as fast as Michael Douglas ever did it in Wallstreet. No disappointments here, just
fast-paced well characterized action in a hardcore urban setting.
